Professional background: My professional career began in an inbound call centre at a bank, where I also provided email support. While I enjoyed the customer service aspect, I felt unfulfilled. I then moved into the Mortgage Documentation Department at the same bank, which offered a mental challenge, but I still felt something was missing. After ten years at the bank, I decided to pursue further studies, especially since I had a son and thought I might find fulfillment in childcare. I completed my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, and while I loved working with children, I still felt I hadn't found my true calling, which I believed to be in nursing. I enrolled in university to start my Registered Nursing degree and sought experience in Disability Support during this time. The work has been incredibly rewarding, and I enjoy making a meaningful difference in people's lives.
What you love about your job with ASCS: When my business partner and I founded ASCS, we aimed to create a different kind of workplace—one unlike our past experiences as employees. I take great pride in the team we've built, consisting of like-minded individuals who are genuinely committed to empowering our participants, giving them choices, and improving their lives.
Interests outside of work: In my free time, I love spending time with my partner and son. My son and I are theme park enthusiasts and enjoy thrilling roller coasters. We are a very sports-minded family and actively participate in touch football, soccer, cricket, tennis, swimming, and basketball. I also enjoy crocheting, although I have yet to move beyond scarves and blankets.

Professional background: Although I started my career in nursing (over 20 years ago!) It just wasn't the right time for me, I quickly moved into business administration and management. After I had my children, I had a career change and completed a traineeship in travel and became a Travel Agent. I managed a few different travel agencies over the years and enjoyed the lifestyle that came with it as my family and I were very fortunate to travel all over the world. However, when Covid hit, my career in travel was over and I decided it was time to go back to nursing. It was not long before I quickly realised that my passion was actually working in the community supporting people living with a disability. I feel absolutely privileged to be able to share my knowledge and experience supporting some amazing individuals and their families.
What you love about your job with ASCS: ASCS was founded by myself and my business Partner Telekia in 2024 when we saw that there was a huge shortfall of ethical and competent providers in the industry. We decided we could do better and we have! I absolutely love the AMAZING team we have built and the beautiful clients that I get to work with every week.
Interests outside of work: As a busy mum of 7 and Nanny of 3 I love to spend my time outside of work with family, I love to cook.....oh and I never lost my passion for travel as I enjoy learning about different cultures and experiencing new things! ❤️

Qualifications: Currently working towards my Diploma of Community Services
Time in the industry: 1 year
Professional background: During high school I coached gymnastics and found I have a passion supporting and helping people to achive their goals. Since leaving school I have found myself working in caring roles both nannying and babysitting and found that I love working with children. During my time as a nanny, I learnt a lot about supporting children living with a disability and spent quite a bit of time working with children living with autism and/or adhd. It was during this time that opened my eyes to wanting work in this industry. I have also worked with a lot of babies which I enjoyed.
I often get commended on being a very empathetic , caring and proactive person which I think is beneficial in this role.
What you love about your job with ASCS:
I love the flexibility we have with being able to have as much or as little work as we like, meaning we can have a great work life balance which was important to me when I first started in the industry, it has also given me the freedom to study while still working. I love how every member of our team is wonderful, caring and very approachable.
Interest outside of work:
I love to spend time with my friends and family, as I’m a person who loves to keep busy and social. I also love to do Lego in my spare downtime before bed.

Time in the industry: 3 Years
Professional background: My professional interests always allowed me to work within roles that help others. I have previously worked as a qualified Beauty therapist & Personal trainer before transitioning into the health industry where I worked in medical administration, but I was never truly fulfilled. A promise I made to my grandmother on her passing guided me to follow my dream to study & become a nurse. It was during my studies I found a passion for community care & working one on one with patients. I started support work while finishing up my studies & I haven't looked back since. I have worked with children & adults with a variety of required support & combined with my nursing skills found a role where I flourish.
What you love about your job with ASCS:
I love the team of empowering & diverse women ASCS has created. We work cohesively to support & care for our clients, ensuring their goals & needs are met but with passion and professionalism. I love working one on one with clients. I love making a difference in people's lives & the difference they make in mine.
Interests outside of work: In my spare time I am usually spending quality time with my family & partner & catching up with friends. My friends call me nanna T! Mostly because I am a crazy cat lady who loves her 4 cats & 1 big puppy dog. I love being in nature, drinking tea, baking, gardening, reading, op shopping & travelling.

Currently studying a Bachelor of Nursing
Time in the industry: 1 Year
Professional background: I am currently studying my Bachelor of Nursing at university and have experience working as an assistant nurse in fast paced environments such as Emergency Department. I grew up with a love and passion for helping others and after watching my mum grow such a strong passion for her nursing career, I knew from a young age that it was exactly what I wanted to do. I went straight into university after graduating high school and have been studying full time ever since.
What you love about your job with ASCS: I am a dedicated support worker who finds fulfillment in my role. I love having the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of those I help, and providing compassionate care and support that helps individuals live more independent lives. What I particularly enjoy about being a support worker is the personal connections I can form with my clients, as well as the sense of accomplishment that comes from seeing their progress and happiness. I am looking forward to growing in my role as a support worker, especially with ASCS.
Interest outside of work: I love going to the gym in my spare time and keeping active, as well as spending time with my family and my partner. I also enjoy reading, spending time with my tiny Pomeranian, going to the beach, and travelling to different places as much as possible.

Professional background: My professional background started when I was very young, my dad owned his own Italian Restaurant throughout my life, so as a kid I grew up cooking and learning alongside him, which instilled a love of cooking from a young age. I have had experience in various places and fields, always trying to find something that could empower me but a career that could empower and support others. I started Disability Support Work when I was 19, I worked alongside clients with complex needs and built amazingly strong relationships. After 3 years I decided to travel the world and came back to a Training Coordinator role, which I loved but still looked for more. This led me to start to study Nursing due to my love of helping and supporting others, during this time, I became a high risk pregnancy, so I sadly decided to postpone nursing, and reignited my passion for working in Support work and have never looked back.
What you love about your job with ASCS:
I love the empowerment, not only for each staff member but for our clients and the community as a whole. We work cohesively, consistently supporting and advocating for better outcomes for all participants, staff and NDIS as a collective.
I am proud to show up to work and represent ASCS each and every day.
Interests outside of work: I love my family, my two kids and partner. I come from an Italian background, so I LOVE to cook.
Travelling soothes the soul and I love to make those memories with the ones I love.

Time in the industry: 5 years
Professional background: At 17, after leaving school in grade 11, I discovered my passion for nursing and caring for others. Through roles in aged care, pharmacy, hospitals, and now support work, I’ve gained valuable insights into healthcare from multiple perspectives. Nursing also introduced me to Danielle, who connected me with this team and the rewarding field of support work.
What you love about your job with ASCS:
I deeply value my role at ASCS and the supportive, close-knit team I work with. This workplace has been incredibly understanding and flexible, accommodating the demands of full-time nursing study. Support work is profoundly rewarding, and I feel privileged to build meaningful, long-term relationships with the individuals I support.
Interest outside of work: Outside of work, I’m passionate about fitness and love going to the gym. Dancing, hanging out with friends, and bonding with my brother are some of my favourite ways to unwind. I also adore my Border Collie, Jackson—he’s truly my baby.
